This motorcycle was originally owned by Dillard Coleman who displayed it at his Coleman Power Sports dealership in Falls Church, Virginia.

It was then co-owned by business partners, Ron Henaghan and Dale Foley of Richmond, Virginia, USA. It was kept in a climate controlled facility until it was sold in 2013 at the Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction with only 2 miles on the clock.

  3. Hi Paul

You know, I really enjoyed designing and making this bike some 40 years ago. #6 was special and beautiful. I had planned to make up to a hundred Mysterys when my powered hang glider was caught in a rotating wind from the rear and crashed me on take off. That was the end of Mystery Ships.
Lots more info if and when you like.

  4. If I’m correct, this one sat in the rafters at coleman powersports in Falls Church VA. It was originally purchased by Dill Coleman after he saw an ad in the back of cycle magazine.

    1. Hi Pete,
I think you could be right.
It was originally my understanding that #6 was co-owned from new by business partners Ron Henaghan and Dale Foley of Richmond, Virginia… so I would like to find out if/when they purchased it from Dill Coleman, or if they were part of the same ownership arrangement with Dill.
I believe Ron Henaghan and Dale Foley owned it up until 2013 when it was sold at the Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction. It was sold again at Las Vegas on 23rd January 2020.
